Top newcomers: C Savannah Sloan (Fr., 5-4); RHP/SS Summer Bennet (Fr., 5-5); 1B Stephanie Brand (Fr., 5-8)

Season outlook: A youthful Taylor County team struggled last season, lacking consistency at the plate and on defense. With eight starters back and ace pitcher Rebecca Jones (2.32 ERA, 139 Ks) returning, the Lady Vikings should make a run at the postseason. A talented group of underclassmen is expected to contribute.
